This message is mostly for people who live on or commute on the 2600 block of E Johnson St. Those most affected likely got a letter from the city about it. That letter has some very serious errors in it.
The project will start later in September, and will close that segment of E Johnson St to through traffic for about 6 weeks. The much-needed purpose of the project is to permanently repair the water main that keeps breaking.
We are working on setting up a zoom meeting with the project engineer and city water utility staff, with the assistance of our alder Syed Abbas, to let us know what to expect. I hope that the affected residents will get advance notification of the zoom meeting, but to double check, contact me directly so I can get you invited.
