Neighbors,
FYI – there is a meeting about the upcoming changes to Madison Metro this Thursday, March 10th @ 6pm
There is some really big changes coming to the Madison Metro (that’s the city’s bus department for all you non-bus riders). Eken Park is slated to be on the intersection between 2 different BRT lines with service running along the borders of our neighborhood every 15 minutes. This frequency and direct bus route will come with a trade-off. We will end up losing the number 4, which goes down commercial, and some other nearby bus routes that are being replaced by the BRT’s more frequent service. This is a common theme in the plan, which favors frequency slightly more than covering the whole map.
You can learn more about these changes here.
The meeting on Thursday will focus primarily on the north side of Madison, of which we are often considered a part. Join in to hear more about these changes, and express any feedback, positive or negative. There is always the possibility of alterations to the plan to accommodate things that were not taken into account during the initial planning process.

If you cannot attend the meeting, the city is also collecting feedback in survey form, which you can fill out here.
