The co-chairs of the Green Space Committee have set two dates for anyone interested in being involved to show up, meet others, share ideas and information, and come up with a game plan for the Committee.
The first meeting will be Saturday, March 25, from 4 to 5 PM at 2302 Coolidge Street. Outside if it’s good weather, inside if it is not.
The second meeting will be Monday, April 3, from 6 to 7 PM at 2302 Coolidge Street. Ditto on the weather.
Both meetings have the same agenda & format; we just wanted to give people two options in case you cannot make one of them.
Each meeting will be an hour (with the possibility to extend a tiny bit longer if needed). Here is the rough agenda:
- Housekeeping notes – like zoom, but in person!
- Very short recap of the Green Space Committee and the co-chairs’ vision of it. Earth Day cleanup is Saturday, April 22nd
- Introductions – who are you, where do you live, what are you most interested in getting involved in
- What places do we want to take care of & what places are currently being taken care of – by who?
- What is the best way to communicate between members? Some people are not on Next Door much. Should we do email blasts? What are people comfortable with sharing as far as email, phone #, etc.
- What are the best ways to plan and communicate work parties, projects, meetings, things that need taking care of, etc.? How to let people know what we’ve done?
- Are there days/times that work better for you to play in the dirt?
- Are there other ways to reach out to people in Eken Park?
- Any other thoughts/suggestions/ideas/comments?
